Solito is an art punk duo that blends the styles of metal, punk, prog, and jazz into 3 - 6 minute songs about love, death, elitism, politics, partying, and humor.

Solito's live shows have been compared to: Flaming Lips meets Blondie, Zappa meets Butthole Surfers, Janes Addiction, Sonic Youth, the No No's, Ween, and Metallica. The most common comment after Solito lays down a blistering set is "I can't believe you are only two people".

Shawna Solito, lead guitar, and Moose, lead drums, have been playing with each other (literally) for over ten years. They have played shows together in North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennesee, and New York.

Solito is currently gigging heavilly in Asheville, NC and welcome new friends and fans. They are always receptive to new ideas received from talking to fans after shows as the people they hang with influence their music on many levels.
